Sucoma savings and credit cooperative Ltd was established in 1995 under the amended Co-operative societies Act. No 36 of 1998 as a financial intermediary. The SACCOs books of accounts were first organized by Robert Mbeza in 1997 after observing huge membership growth and the need for credible records of accounts.
Since then, the SACCO has undergone a lot of transition from manual record keeping to computerized and has since turned out to be one of the best performing SACCO in recent years. The SACCO is currently being supervised by the reserve Bank of Malawi through the financial Cooperatives Act.
